I’ve been creatively bankrupt for the past week and a half, mainly due to the stress of school and dealing with outside problems that I shouldn’t have. I haven’t been able to calmly think about things until today, and even then I’m still too stressed with finals looming over my head as well as final projects. What’s even the point of this thing any way, writing in this thing, when I could just be working on what I’ve been trying to work on this whole time. Working on Shark Bait has been one of the most stressful things I’ve done all year. I couldn’t work on the book at my own pace at all. I’d open the sketchbook I’m doing all the sketches for the book and I just can’t get anything down. I get home and feel too tired to do anything. My whole mind just shuts off and doesn’t come back on again.
Addendum: I was able to finish the storyboards for Shark Bait today in my anger, so now if you go check out the First Draft page of Shark Bait you’ll be able to see the full thing. So now all I need now to make some more sketches of the pages that I kind of skipped over so I can have them finalized properly. I’ve sent twitter a report to get my account back, so hopefully that can be resolved.
Once those pages for Shark Bait are finalized, my plan moving forward is to make the ebook and then publish it onto Amazon and probably the apple store again. I’ll also try to get Death’s Garden up on Amazon as well. However, I’ll mostly use this website as a portfolio for children’s books meanwhile my instagram page will mainly be for my artwork. I will say though that the instagram account will most likely be more active since that would mainly be for sketches and other miscellaneous stuff.
