I’m back, sorry for the long hiatus between these updates, I’ve been working on other things. Like how I’ve set up an art only Instagram account that’s not really for Shark Bait, it’s main focus is other art that I’ve done on the side and possibly other books that I’ll work on in the future. For all I know a drawing on there could slowly evolve into a new concept for another book.
So current news on the W.I.P. is that we’ve reached the climax of the shark’s story where the context of the title comes into play. The harpoons are now aimed and set to dig into the recently established prey. With that in mind, I don’t think I can consider it a children’s book if it has too much blood in it. So I’m currently thinking about how to censor something like that, because unlike chum I can’t just make it pink, it’d have to be red. A deep coursing red, like that of well, blood. I’m thinking of having the rest of the scene go dark like the way it did in Death’s Garden. When an important character went in a similar fashion to how some of the shark’s friends are going. Although going through full dark in that book made sense with the setting, it being in space, unlike this book. I’d have to talk it with my colorist, girlfriend, who would oversee that.
In other news, I’ve finally made my homepage look better, but it’s still not where I’d like it to be, So I’m hoping to find a way to tweak it so that it displays the title of my current finished books without destroying the theme, or having to find a new one.
